FAQs: Classes, Schedules, and What to Expect
Looking for the best martial arts classes for your family? Whether you are curious about our age-appropriate kids’ programs, class schedules, membership pricing, or safety policies, we’ve gathered everything you need to know right here. Explore our frequently asked questions to see how we help students of all ages build confidence, discipline, and self-defence skills in a safe, welcoming environment.
Getting Started & Your First Class
You will learn basic stances and simple movements at your own comfortable pace following a light warm-up. There is no experience or sparring expected—our safe environment is simply designed to get you moving and having fun!
We recommend arriving 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled class time. This gives us a chance to tour the facility, introduce you to the instructor, and ensure you are perfectly set up and comfortable before hitting the mat!
For your first class, bring a water bottle and a pair of sandals or flip-flops to wear when moving between the change rooms, restrooms, and training floor. Athletic clothing is only required if you are attending Lil’ Dragons, BJJ, or fitness classes. If you are participating in adult or youth martial arts, standard athletic wear isn’t necessary, as your uniform is included in your Quick Start Package.
Clothing requirements depend on the program:
Adult & Youth Martial Arts: Arrive in comfortable street clothes. Your official uniform is provided in your Quick Start Package.
Lil’ Dragons, BJJ, & Fitness Classes: Wear standard athletic clothes (such as a t-shirt and athletic shorts or leggings).
Note: All students must bring sandals or flip-flops to wear in the restrooms and when walking between the change rooms and the training area.
Honestly? That’s kind of the whole point. Martial Arts is one of the best things for building confidence and coordination in kids — regardless of where they’re starting from. Our coaches are experienced working with all kinds of personalities. Shy, awkward, and uncoordinated are all welcome here.

Programs, Style & Curriculum
We offer classes for students as young as 3 years old, all the way through adult programs. Our classes are broken down into age-appropriate groups to ensure the best learning environment.
We specialize in Karate, Aikido, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Spin, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), and our version of an intense kickboxing class we call Fight Fit. Each style focuses on discipline, fitness, and self-defence.
We use a structured, step-by-step curriculum that safely guides students from day one all the way to Black Belt and beyond. Our programs are tailored by age and experience level to maximize both technical skill and personal growth.
Promotions here are based on skill, not how long you’ve been showing up. When you’re ready to level up, just ask your coach what to focus on next — there’s no mystery, no politics, just honest feedback and a clear path forward.
Sweat. Maybe some blood. Maybe some tears. But never money — there are no belt promotion fees here, ever. Your coaches will work with you on a learning path and make sure you’ve got a well-rounded game before you move up.

Safety, Location & Special Programs
Our school is located at 141 Reach St, Unit #3, Uxbridge, ON, L9P 1L3.
Safety is our top priority. Yes, it’s a combat sport and bumps happen — but we enforce our gym rules consistently, and we will call out unsafe training the moment we see it. Doesn’t matter if you’re brand new or have been training for years. Your safety and everyone else’s comes first, full stop.
Once students reach a certain level and begin controlled sparring, they’ll need approved safety gear. We’ll let you know when it’s time to purchase equipment.
Yes, we offer seasonal camps (spring, summer, and winter) and a structured after-school program with transportation from select local schools. These programs include martial arts training, games, and character-building activities.
We do! Our martial arts birthday parties are a blast — complete with fun games, board breaking, and a mini lesson. Best of all, we handle the setup and cleanup. Contact us to check available dates!
We observe major holidays and follow local school closures for inclement weather. In the event of a closure or important announcement, we will instantly notify you via email, our social media channels, and our community Discord server. We recommend opting into text notifications during registration so you never miss a real-time update.
